For naturally thin lips, the smallest changes can make the biggest difference 👄
The goal here wasn’t to create a completely different lip. It was to take a naturally thinner lip and add a little more shape, softness, and definition, while keeping everything in proportion with the rest of the face.
You can see the border is clearer, the lip has more presence, and the overall result feels fresher without looking obviously “filled”.
With thinner lips, restraint matters. Too much product too quickly can easily overwhelm the natural anatomy, so I’d always rather build carefully and keep the result elegant than chase volume for the sake of it.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of speaking to postgraduate ophthalmic doctors at the hospital as part of their audit day, discussing a topic I’m incredibly passionate about: patient safety in aesthetic medicine.
The session focused on vascular occlusions following cosmetic injectable treatments, the potential implications for eyesight and the evidence based protocols that can help manage these complications.
Although vascular occlusions are uncommon, the consequences can be serious, particularly when the blood supply to the eye is affected. Recognising the warning signs, understanding the risks and knowing how to respond appropriately can make a significant difference to patient outcomes.
As aesthetic practitioners, we have a responsibility to understand the complications associated with the treatments we perform, but I also believe there’s enormous value in sharing that knowledge with colleagues across different medical specialties.
A special thank you to our very own Qusva, also known as Matron Q, who organised the session alongside the lead for Ophthalmology. It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness, share knowledge and encourage important conversations between specialties.
The session was a great success, and I’m really pleased to have been involved. Opportunities like this are so important in strengthening communication between healthcare professionals, improving complication management and ultimately promoting better patient outcomes.

Hair thinning around perimenopause and menopause can feel frustrating, especially when you’re doing all the right things and still noticing more shedding, a wider parting or less density.
PRP can be a really useful option for the right patient because it uses your own platelet-rich plasma to support follicles that are still active.
The important bit is timing. Hair loss treatments tend to have more potential when we’re working with follicles that are still producing hair, even if that hair has become finer over time.
It’s also why I don’t think hair loss should be treated with guesswork. The pattern, timing and likely cause all matter before deciding what the best next step is.

The chin is one of the most underrated areas of the face, and also one of the most impactful when it's treated well.
Used well, it can improve projection, strengthen the profile and create a much smoother relationship between the lips, chin and jawline.
In this result, that extra support through the chin has given the lower face noticeably more balance and definition without anything looking obvious or overdone.
This is exactly why we assess the face as a whole rather than treating features in isolation. Sometimes a relatively small, carefully placed amount of filler can make the whole profile sit better because it corrects proportion, not simply adds volume.

If you want better skin, one treatment will only take you so far.
That’s exactly why we created our skin package. The idea is to build the skin up in stages rather than expecting one appointment to do everything.
We start with polynucleotides and Celora Vita to improve skin quality and support the tissue. Then we follow with a collagen-stimulating treatment such as microneedling or laser to push that remodelling process further. At around six months, we review and add maintenance based on what your skin needs then.
It’s a much more considered way to approach concerns like:

Dermal filler isn’t one product, and choosing the right one matters just as much as knowing where to inject it.
Different areas of the face need very different things from a filler. A product that works beautifully in the lips may be completely wrong for the cheeks or under-eyes, because fillers vary in how firm, flexible, cohesive and hydrophilic they are, as well as how much projection they can create.
That means we should always choose products based on the job we’re asking them to do. In the cheeks, we may need more structure and lift. In the lips, we want something that integrates naturally and moves well with the tissue. Under the eyes, water attraction becomes particularly important because the skin is so thin and unforgiving.
